Abstract

INDONESIA : Produksi Padi di Indonesia mengalami penurunan setiap tahunnya. Serangan hama dan penyakit menjadi salah satu penyebab utama penurunan produksi padi yang mengakibatkan kerugian cukup serius, salah satunya adalah penyakit hawar daun (Xanthomonas oryzae). Pemberian ekstrak silika sekam padi pada tanaman padi dapat meningkatkan serapan unsur N, P, dan K, memperkuat dinding sel epidermis, menigkatkan resistensi penguraian enzim oleh pathogen, dan menghambat penetrasi dan infeksi penyakit tanaman. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus sampai November di Screen house Kebun Percobaan Ciparanje Universitas Padjadjaran Kecamatan Jatinangor Kabupaten Sumedang Jawa Barat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 8 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan, perlakuan yang diberikan yaitu: D0 = Kontrol tanpa penyakit hawar daun dan tanpa silika; D1 = Kontrol dengan penyakit hawar daun tanpa silika; D2 = 3 l ha-1 (1,5 ml/tanaman); D3 = 4 l ha-1 (2,0 ml/tanaman); D4 = 5 l ha-1 (2,5 ml/tanaman); D5 = 6 l ha-1 (3,0 ml/tanaman); D6 = 7 l ha-1 (3,5 ml/tanaman); D7 = 8 l ha-1 (4,0 ml/tanaman). Dosis ekstrak silika berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan anakan padi pada umur 15 HST dan juga mampu menekan serangan penyakit hawar daun pada umur 50, 60, 70 HST. Dosis ekstrak silika 4,0 ml/tanaman memberikan pengaruh paling baik dalam menekan serangan penyakit hawar daun (Xanthomonas oryzae) pada tanaman padi varietas IR-64. ENGLISH : Rice Production in Indonesia has Decreased every year. Pest and disease attacks are a major cause of reduced rice production, resulting in significant losses, including leaf blight (Xanthomonas oryzae). Giving husk Silicone extract to rice plants can increase the uptake of N, P, and K elements, strengthen the epidermal cell wall, increase the resistance to enzymatic decomposition by pathogens, and inhibit the penetration and infection of plant diseases. From August to November, this research was carried out at the screen house, Ciparanje Experimental Garden, Padjadjaran University, Jatinangor District, Sumedang Regency, West Java. The method used in this study was a completely randomized design with 8 treatments and 3 replications, the treatments given were: D0 = Control without Leaf blight disease and without silicone extract; D1 = Control with Leaf blight disease and without silicone extract; D2 = 3 l ha-1 (1,5 ml/plant); D3 = 4 l ha-1 (2,0 ml/plant); D4 = 5 l ha-1 (2,5 ml/plant); D5 = 6 l ha-1 (3,0 ml/plant); D6 = 7 l ha-1 (3,5 ml/plant); D7 = 8 l ha-1 (4,0 ml/plant). The dose of silicone extract was able to increase the growth of rice tillers at 15 DAP and was also able to restrain the attack of leaf blight at 50, 60, 70 DAP. The dose of silicone extract of 4.0 ml/plant gave the best effect in eradicating the attack of leaf blight (Xanthomonas oryzae) on rice strains IR-64.
