Abstract

INDONESIA : Peningkatan produksi kopi di Indonesia membuat tingginya limbah sisa produksi berupa kulit kopi. Kehadiran limbah tersebut dapat menimbulkan bau yang tidak sedap, pencemaran air, tanah, udara dan tempat berkembangnya mikroorganisme yang berbahaya bagi kesehatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik POC sebelum dan sesudah fermentasi, Kadar N, P, K, dan C-Organik, serta pengaruh pupuk organik cair limbah kulit kopi (Coffea arabica L.) yang diperoleh dari perkebunan kopi Kamojang, Jawa Barat terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman kailan (Brassica oleraceae L.). Kegiatan ekspor yang tinggi pada tanaman kailan tidak didukung dengan ketersediannya yang pada 2014 Jawa Barat hanya menghasilkan 20 ton pertahun. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) dengan lima perlakuan konsentrasi pupuk organik cair yaitu kontrol, 10 mL, 20 mL, 30 mL, dan 40 mL dengan masing-masing lima ulangan. Hasil perlakuan menunjukan bahwa pemberian pupuk organik cair limbah kulit kopi berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, diameter batang, bobot basah, dan bobot kering tanaman kailan. Namun tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap panjang akar. Perlakuan K2 (20 mL) menghasilkan pengaruh terbaik terhadap tanaman kailan berupa tinggi tanaman sebesar 22,4 cm, jumlah daun sebesar 10,6 helai, dan bobot basah sebesar 19,2 gram. Sebagai nutrisi tumbuhan, pupuk ini mempunyai potensi dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman kailan terutama pada konsentrasi 20 mL. ENGLISH : The increase in coffee production in Indonesia has resulted in high production waste in the form of coffee husks. The presence of such waste can cause unpleasant odors, contamination of water, soil, air and a place for the development of microorganisms that are harmful to health. This study aims to determine the characteristics of POC before and after fermentation, levels of N, P, K, and C-Organic, and the effect of liquid organic fertilizer on coffee husk waste (Coffea arabica L.) obtained from Kamojang coffee plantations, West Java on plant growth. kailan (Brassica oleraceae L.). The high export activity of kailan plants is not supported by its availability which in 2014 West Java only produced 20 tons per year. This study is an experimental study using a randomized block design (RAK) with five concentrations of liquid organic fertilizer, namely control, 10 mL, 20 mL, 30 mL, and 40 mL with five replications each. The results of the treatment showed that the application of liquid organic fertilizer for coffee husks had a significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, wet weight, and dry weight of kailan plants. However, it had no significant effect on root length. K2 treatment (20 mL) produced the best effect on kailan plants in the form of plant height of 22,4 cm, number of leaves of 10,6 strands, and wet weight of 19,2 grams. As a plant nutrient, this fertilizer has the potential to increase the growth of kailan plants, especially at a concentration of 20 mL.
