Abstract

INDONESIA : Sekolah sebagai lembaga pendidikan formal berperan untuk mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa, mempersiapkan generasi agar mandiri dan mampu bersaing diera globalisasi. Kepala sekolah selaku leader di sekolah bertanggungjawab terhadap kemajuan sekolah secara keseluruhannya. Maka dari itu sekolah harus dikelola secara professional, dipimpin oleh kepala sekolah yang visioner, memiliki pandangan jauh kedepan dan memiliki kompetensi yang baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan: (1) Latar belakang kepala sekolah SMA Plus Al-Hasan Banjarsari Kabupaten Ciamis (2) Langkah strategi kepala sekolah menciptakan dan merumuskan visi di SMA Plus Al-Hasan Banjarsari Kabupaten Ciamis (3) Langkah strategi kepala sekolah mentransformasikan dan mengimplementasikan visi di SMA Plus Al-Hasan Banjarsari Kabupaten Ciamis (4) Implikasi karakteristik kepemimpinan visioner kepala sekolah di SMA Plus Al-Hasan Banjarsari Kabupaten Ciamis. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis melalui reduksi data, penyajian data dan verifikasi atau penarikan kesimpulan. Pengecekan keabsahan data melalui uji credibility (validitas internal) dengan perpanjangan pengamatan, peningkatan ketekunan dan triangulasi; transferability (validitas eksternal); dependability (reabilitas); dan confirmability (objektivitas). Melalui analisis dari studi ini, peneliti menemukan bahwa (1) Latar belakang pendidikan kepala sekolah SMA Plus Al-Hasan Banjarsari Kabupaten Ciamis dengan latar belakang S1 Pendidikan Agama Islam (2) Penciptaan dan perumusan visi di SMA Plus Al-Hasan Banjarsari Kabupaten Ciamis pada dasarnya melalui musyawarah dalam Tim Pengembang Sekolah (3) Transfromasi visi di SMA Plus Al-Hasan Banjarsari Kabupaten Ciamis dilakukan dengan dua cara yaitu secara langsung dan tidak langsung, sedangkan implementasi visi di SMA Plus Al-Hasan Banjarsari Kabupaten Ciamis dipaparkan dalam rencana strategis program kerja sekolah (4) Karakteristik kepemimpinan visioner kepala sekolah SMA Plus Al-Hasan Banjarsari Kabupaten Ciamis memiliki karakter kepemimpinan visioner yaitu memiliki pandangan jauh depan, menjadi agen of change (unsur perubahan), memiliki kemampuan komunikasi yang baik, mampu membangun kerjasama, berani mengambil resiko, mampu memotivasi guru dan karyawan serta seorang pembelajar cepat, tekun dan berkelanjutan. ENGLISH : Schools as formal educational institutions play a role in educating the nation's life, preparing generations to be independent and able to compete in the era of globalization. The principal as the leader in the school is responsible for the progress of the school as a whole. Therefore the school must be managed professionally, led by a school principal who is visionary, has foresight and has good competence. This research aims to find: (1) Principal background SMA Plus Al-Hasan Banjarsari District Ciamis (2) Step up the prinsipal’s strategy of creating and formulating a vision in SMA Plus Al-Hasan Banjarsari Districts Ciamis (3) Step up the principal’s strategy of transforming and implementing a vision in SMA Plus Al-Hasan Banjarsari Districts Ciamis (4) Implications of the characteristics of the principal’s visionary leadership in SMA Plus Al-Hasan Banjarsari Districts Ciamis. This research uses qualitative approach with descriptive. Data collection obtained through observation participate, in-depth interviews and documentation. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data display and verification conclusion. Checking the validity of data through the test credibility (internal validity) with the extension of the observations, increasing persistence, and confirmability (objectivity). Through the analysis of this study, the researchers found that (1) The educational background of the principal of SMA Plus Al-Hasan Banjarsari, Ciamis Regency, with a background of S1 Islamic Religious Education (2) Creation and formulation of a vision in SMA Plus Al-Hasan Banjarsari Districts Ciamis is basically through consultation in the school development team (3) Transformation of vision in SMA Plus Al-Hasan Banjarsari Districts Ciamis was done in two ways namely directly and indirectly, while the implementation of vision in SMA Plus Al-Hasan Banjarsari Districts Ciamis was outlined in the strategic plan of the school work program (4) Characteristics the principal’s visionary leadership of SMA Plus AL-Hasan Banjarsari Districts Ciamis having a good character is having a distant future, being an agent of change, having good communication skills, able to build cooperation, dare to take risks, able to motivate teachers and employees as well as a fast, diligent and sustainable leaner.
