Abstract

INDONESIA Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi adanya permasalahan yang terdapat pada pembelajaran matematika di kelas IV MI Thariqul Jannah Pangalengan, bahwa hasil belajar kognitif siswa belum mencapai nilai KKM yang ditentukan. Hal ini disebabkan karena guru masih menerapkan pembelajaran konvensional dan proses pembelajaran cenderung berpusat pada guru. Sehingga pembelajaran bersifat membosankan yang menyebabkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa rendah. Model pembelajaran AIR merupakan model pembelajaran yang mampu melibatkan aktivitas dan ide siswa dalam kegiatan pembelajaran untuk mendapatkan hasil belajar yang optimal terutama pada aspek kognitif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana hasil belajar kognitif siswa sebelum dan setelah menerapkan model AIR serta memberikan gambaran proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model AIR pada mata pelajaran matematika pokok bahasan bangun datar di kelas IV MI Thariqul Jannah Penelitian ini didasarkan pada pemikiran bahwa hasil belajar kognitif siswa ditentukan oleh banyak faktor. Salah satunya model pembelajaran yang tepat yang mampu mengonstruksi kognitif siswa agar pembelajaran aktif dan hasil belajar optimal, termasuk model AIR. Berdasarkan asumsi tersebut maka hipotesis yang diajukan adalah penerapan model pembelajaran AIR diduga dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada mata pelajaran matematika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Dalam setiap siklus terdiri dari beberapa tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes uraian dan lembar observasi aktivitas. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV MI Thariqul Jannah sebanyak 20 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar kognitif siswa sebelum menggunakan model AIR masih kurang sekali dengan rata-rata 46,9 dengan ketuntasan klasikalnya hanya 15%. Penerapan model AIR berjalan dengan baik sesuai dengan tahapannya, aktivitas guru dan siswa mengalami peningkatan pada setiap siklusnya. Pada siklus I aktivitas guru mencapai 89,14% kemudian meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 97,82% dengan kriteria sangat baik. Sedangkan aktivitas belajar siswa pada siklus I mencapai 77,07% kemudian meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 89.57% dengan kriteria sangat baik. Adapun hasil belajar kognitif siswa setelah menggunakan model AIR juga mengalami peningkatan, pada siklus I persentase ketuntasan klasikal siswa mencapai 70% kemudian meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 80% dan pada akhir siklus memperoleh ketuntasan klasikal 80% dengan kategori baik. Dengan demikian, penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan telah sesuai dengan tujuan yang diharapkan yakni dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada mata pelajaran matematika. ENGLISH This research is motivated by the problems found in mathematics learning in the fourth grade of MI Thariqul Jannah Pangalengan. From the result of students cognitive learning outcomes that have not reached the result of KKM that has determined. It is caused by the teacher that still applies the conventional learning and the learning process which centered to the teacher. Therefore, learning is tedious which causes low student cognitive learning outcomes. The AIR learning model is a learning model that is able to involve the activities and ideas of students in learning activities to reach of optimal learning outcomes, especially in cognitive aspects. The purpose of this research is to find out how the result of cognitive learning outcomes students before and after the researcher applies AIR model and gives the representation the learning process by using the AIR model in mathematics subject. The subject of “Bangun datar” in class IV MI Thariqul Jannah. This research based on the thought that the result of students cognitive learning outcomes is determined by many of the factors. One of the factor is the learning model which appropriate and able to construct cognitive students so that active learning and optimal learning outcomes, include the AIR model. Based on that assumptions, the hypothesis which asked is the application of the AIR learning model that is estimated can increase the result of cognitive learning outcomes of students in mathematics subject. The research method that used is classroom action research the implemented in two cycles. In each cycle, it consists was such as a plan, realization, observation and reflection. The technique at collecting data used a description test and the observation of sheet activity. The subjects research is the students of four grade in MI Thariqul Jannah as many as 20 students. The results of the research refers to the result of cognitive learning outcomes before using the AIR model were still very low with the average 46,9 by its classical completeness only 15%. The application of the AIR model is appropriate with the steps, the activities of teachers and students that increased in each cycle. In the first cycle the teacher activities increased 89,14% then increased in the second cycle become 97,82% with the best criteria. Whereas, the learning activities of students in the first cycle increasing 77,07% then his increased in the second cycle to 89,57% with best criteria. As for the result of students cognitive learning outcomes after used AIR model it also increased, in first cycle, the percentage of classical completeness students reached 70% then increased in second cycle become 80% and in the last cycle get the classical completeness 80% in the good category. However, the research of classroom action that implemented is appropriate with the purpose that the researcher hoped, it is can increasing the result of cognitive learning outcomes in mathematics subjects.
