Abstract

INDONESIA: Hasil studi pendahuluan yang dilakukan di SMA Muhammadiyah Kadungora pada mata pelajaran fisika menunjukka bahwa keterampilan pemecahan masalah peserta didik masih kurang. Hal tersebut terbukti dari hasil pendahuluan soal keterampilan pemecahan masalah didapatkan rata-rata yang rendah. Sebagai langkah untuk dapat meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah maka digunakan model problem solving laboratory. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui keteralaksanaan setiap tahapan model praktikum problem solving laboratory dan peningkatan keterampilan pemecahan masalah peserta didik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pre-experiment dengan desain one grup pretest-posttest desain. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan quota sampling dimana pengambilan sampel berdasarkan kuota yang tersedia. Data mengenai keterlaksanaan setiap tahapan model yang dilakukan peneliti dan peserta didik diperoleh dari lembar observasi dan data peningkatan keterampilan pemecahan masalah melalui tes berupa soal uraian. Hasil penelitian selama tiga kali pertemuan menunjukkan rata-rata keterlaksanaan aktivitas peneliti sebesar 93% dan aktivitas peserta didik sebesar 85%. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis dihasilkan H0 ditolak yang artinya terdapat peningkatan keterampilan pemecahan masalah peserta didik setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaran problem solving laboratory dengan nilai N-Gain 0,68 yang berkategori sedang. Dengan demikian berdasarkan hasil analisi didapatkan bahwa model problem solving laboratory dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah peserta didik. ENGLISH: The results of preliminary studies conducted at SMA Muhammadiyah Kadungora on physics subjects indicate that the problem solving skills of learners is still lacking This is evident from the preliminary results of problem solving skills obtained a low average. As a step to be able to improve problem solving skills hence used laboratory problem solving design. The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation of each stage of problem solving laboratory design praktice and improving problem solving skills learners. The research method used is pre-experiment with design one group pretest-posttest design. Sampling technique with quota sampling where sampling based on available quota. Data on the implementation of each stage of the model conducted by researchers and learners is obtained from the observation sheet and data of problem solving skills improvement through the test in the form of a description problem. The results of the research during the three meetings showed the average activity of the researcher of 93% and the students' activity by 85%. Based on hypothesis test result H0 rejected which mean there is improvement of problem solving skill learners after applying of problem solving model laboratory with value of N-Gain 0,68 which categorize is medium. Thus based on the results of the analysis found that the model problem solving laboratory can be used as an alternative to improve the skills problem-solving learners.
