Abstract

Environmental degradation is a real obstacle that hampers the productivity of agricultural land. These conditions will certainly impact on the deterioration in environmental quality and agricultural productivity due to poor management. Environmental degradation can occur due to land use and the entry of solid or liquid contaminants to the environment in which they are not part of the original environmental component. We have high expectations of good watershed management. The phenomenon of flood disaster is caused by the high rainfall, and the burst of river water. The phenomenon is influenced by human activities such as garbage disposal in the waterways that cause the flow of the river to become clogged by the amount of garbage that accumulate. As a result, the rice farmers have to bear the losses because their land becomes flooded and died from the overflow. So we must be aware of the negative impact that will be generated especially for the agricultural sector. Keywords: Environmental degradation, flood, garbage, river flows, river floods, losses, watersheds.
