Abstract

Erosion is a natural phenomenon of soil erosion by water and wind. The strength of erosion is influenced by several factors in the region. The purpose of this observation is to know the impact of river basin erosion on agricultural soil texture. The research method used is survey method, interview and testing of soil texture. Changes in soil texture is caused by human behavior and improper soil and water conservation techniques in use. Human behavior that littering into rivers leads to siltation and accelerates the occurrence of soil erosion in watersheds. Soil and water conservation or so-called soil preservation are efforts undertaken to maintain and improve soil productivity, water quantity and quality. Occurs due to the release of the ground from the slopes with thick thin layers. This erosion can not be seen by the eye because of the change in the surface of the soil that occurs only in a small form. This type of erosion can be seen clearly as the rate of erosion increases with the absence of vegetation in the soil surface.
