Abstract

Tidak sedikit individu yang ingin melanjutkan pendidikan ke jenjang yang lebih tinggi, namun masuk perguruan tinggi bukanlah hal yang mudah. Setiap universitas sudah menetapkan standarnya masing-masing sementara di satu sisi setiap orangtua juga menginginkan anaknya masuk pada jurusan yang paling ideal. Sehingga tidak sedikit mahasiswa yang berkuliah tidak sesuai dengan minatnya. Diperlukan penerimaan diri dan usaha lebih untuk berjuang agar dapat bertahan dalam menjalani studi hingga selesai. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana hubungan antara self acceptance dan adversity quotient. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional. Instrumen berupa skala self acceptance (79 item) yang mengacu pada tahap-tahap self acceptance dari Germer, serta skala adversity response profile (40 item) menurut Stoltz. Dengan subjek sebanyak 77 orang mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung angkatan 2014. Diperoleh hasil sebanyak 47% subjek memiliki self acceptance tinggi dan 53% subjek memiliki self acceptance rendah. Sedangkan subjek yang memiliki adversity quotient tinggi sebanyak 52% dan sebanyak 48% subjek memiliki adversity quotient rendah. Berdasarkan pengujian rank spearman, dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan antara self acceptance dengan adversity quotient. Each university has set standards respectively while on the one hand every parents also want their children to get in on the subject of the most ideal. So that not a few college students who are not in accordance with their interests. Self-acceptance required more effort to fight to survive in the study underwent to complete. Thus,this study aims to look at how the relationship between self-acceptance and adversity quotient. This study uses a quantitative correlation approach. Instrument in the form of self-acceptance scale (79 items), which refers to the stages of self-acceptanceof Germer, as well as the scale of adversity response profile (40 items) by Stoltz. With subjects as many as 77 students of the Faculty of Psychology UIN Sunan Gunung Jati Bandung force in 2014. The results show that 47% of the subjects hadself-acceptance highand 53% of the subjects had low self-acceptance. While the subjects who had high adversity quotient as much as 52% and as much as 48% of the subjects hadadversity lowquotient.
