Abstract

In managing the class in English listening lessons, especially at the high school level, the teacher will not be far from various challenges. Be it from teachers, students, or facilities. This study aims to find out the teacher’s challenges in classroom management in English listening lessons. The second is to find out the teacher’s strategies to deal with classroom management challenges in English listening lessons. Based on the results of the research, in managing listening classes teachers face challenges and teachers use strategies to deal with these challenges. It is suggested that teachers need to be better able to find and use strategies to deal with classroom management challenges so that they run smoothly in realizing their teaching goals. This study can provide information about appropriate strategies to deal with classroom management challenges in listening to English lessons.
