Abstract

This research focuses on analyzing the use of englonesian dialect in the television show master chef indonesia (2019) as caused the use of englonesian in the master chef Indonesian. In sociolinguistics, dialect is a variation of language in a societies group caused by social factor, geographic location, or particular area. The researcher stated two problems related to the use of englonesian dialect; (1) what are the use and grammatical level of the englonesian dialect expressions used in the Indonesian master chef show? (2) what are the factors and affects of using the englonesian dialect on the societies language? The researcher use the theories of Fuller and Wardhaugh to analyze the use of englonesian, Budiarsa to analyze the grammatical form, Fuller and Wardhaugh to analyze the factor of the use englonesian on social and regional scope, and Ayatrohaedi to analyze the affects of the use of englonesian. The researcher uses qualitative descriptive methods and analysis content, which are to used to analyze and explore deep problems to find the answers. The results of this research are the discovery of 45 data of the use, grammatical forms, factors, and affects of Englonesian dialect the Master Chef indonesian television show. It can be concluded that the use of englonesian dialect is the result of the development of variations in the use of language from Indonesian society. Begins with the use of mixed language (english-indonesian), then becomes a features and identity several individuals, social groups, and regional in indonesian society.
