Abstract

INDONESIA : Guru merupakan salah satu pekerjaan atau profesi yang beresiko mengalami stres. Tingginya tingkat stres yang dialami oleh guru dapat berdampak pada pencapaian sekolah yang kurang maksimal. Maka dari itu pencegahan lebih dini disarankan untuk menurunkan stres kerja. Salah satunya dengan menggunakan terapi relaksasi otot progresif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh terapi relaksasi otot progresif terhadap stres pada guru. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode Pra-Eksperimental dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Teknik purposive sampling dipilih dalam penelitian ini dengan kriteria guru yang memiliki stres sedang dan berat. Pengumpulan data awal dilakukan peneliti dengan menggunakan alat ukur DASS. Terpilih 31 subjek yang sesuai dengan kriteria dan selanjutnya diberikan teknik relaksasi otot progresif sebanyak 4 sesi selama 2 minggu. Hasil uji statistik menggunakan uji Wilcoxon dengan Asymp.Sig. (2-tailed) bernilai 0,000 yang memiliki nilai lebih kecil dari 0,05 yang berarti hipotesis tersebut diterima. ENGLISH : Teaching is one of the jobs or professions that are at risk of experiencing stress. The high level of stress experienced by teachers can have an impact on school achievement that is less than optimal. Therefore, early prevention is recommended to reduce work stress. One of them is by using progressive muscle relaxation therapy. This study aims to determine the effect of progressive muscle relaxation therapy on stress in teachers. This research was conducted using the Pre-Experimental method with a one-group pre-test-post-test design. The purposive sampling technique was chosen in this study with the criteria of teachers having moderate and severe stress. The initial data collection was carried out by researchers using the DASS measuring instrument. Selected 31 subjects according to the criteria and then given progressive muscle relaxation techniques for 4 sessions for 2 weeks. The results of statistical tests using the Wilcoxon test with Asymp.Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.000 which has a value less than 0.05 which means that the hypothesis is accepted.
