Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul Pembuatan Bata Ringan Dari Limbah Pemotongan Plastik Gelondongan Dan Bottom Ash. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memanfaatkan limbah dan menghasilkan produk bata beton ringan yang memenuhi Standar Nasional Indonesia. Pada penelitian ini digunakan Bottom Ash batubara yang merupakan bahan buangan dari proses pembakaran batu bara pada pembangkit listrik, selain itu digunakan limbah plastik yang berperan sebagai agregat halus dan bottom ash sebagai agregat kasar. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan beberapa metode dalam pengambilan data, yakni studi literatur, eksperimen dan pengujian bata ringan. Bata ringan adalah material bangunan yang berfungsi seperti bata lainnya yaitu untuk membuat dinding. Dari luar, material bahan baku bata ringan menyerupai beton pada umumnya tetapi bobotnya lebih ringan. Permukaannya pun halus dan bentuknya pun seragam dari segi ukuran dan ketebalannya karena dicetak menggunakan cetakan press beton. Diharapkan penelitian ini dapat membantu memberikan informasi ilmiah kepada para peneliti bahwa limbah yang berada di sekitar kita dapat dimanfaatkan, salah satunya adalah limbah plastik dan limbah pembakaran batu bara yang dimanfaatkan dalam produk bata beton yang tentunya memenuhi Standar Nasional Indonesia. This research is entitled Making Lightweight Brick from Plastic Cutting Waste and Bottom Ash. This study aims to utilize waste and produce lightweight concrete brick products that meet Indonesian National Standards. In this study, coal bottom ash was used which is a waste material from the coal combustion process in power plants, besides that, plastic waste which acts as fine aggregate and bottom ash as coarse aggregate is used. In this study, several methods of data collection were carried out, namely literature studies, experiments and testing of light bricks. Light brick is a building material that functions like other bricks, namely to make walls. From the outside, light brick raw materials resemble concrete in general but are lighter in weight. The surface is smooth and the shape is uniform in terms of size and thickness because it is printed using a concrete press mold. It is hoped that this research can help provide scientific information to researchers that the waste that is around us can be utilized, one of which is plastic waste and coal burning waste which is used in concrete brick products which of course meet the Indonesian National Standard.
