Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 mengakibatkan hasil belajar siswa kurang optimal. Penelitian bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh metode praktikum terhadap nilai kognitif Penelitian menggunakan Mix Methods desain Embedded. Instrumen penelitian meliputi: rubrik beserta lembar observasi keterlaksanaan, soal kognitif, rubrik sikap ilmiah, angket kendala dan catatan lapangan. Pemilihan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling terdiri dari 36 siswa kelas eksperimen dan 36 siswa kelas kontrol di MA daerah Subang. Keterlaksanaan aktivitas siswa dan guru (mahasiswa peneliti) mencapai kriteria baik meliputi kriteria baik dan sangat baik. Peningkatan kognitif kelas eksperimen berkriteria sedang memperoleh hasil 0,52 sedangkan kelas kontrol dengan kriteria rendah memperoleh hasil 0,29. Hasil uji statistik menunjukan terdapat perbedaan kognitif yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kontrol dengan sig 0,000 < 0,05. Sikap ilmiah kelas eksperimen menunjukan kriteria “kuat” dari aspek objektif, tidak tergesa-gesa, tekun dan terbuka. Sedangkan kelas kontrol mendapatkan kriteria “cukup” dari aspek objektif, tidak tergesa-gesa, tekun sedangkan aspek terbuka mendapatkan kriteria “lemah”. Secara keseluruhan siswa tidak mengalami kendala saat melakukan pembelajaran metode praktikum. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa metode praktikum berpengaruh terhadap nilai kognitif dan sikap ilmiah siswa. The Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in less than optimal student learning outcomes. This study aims to analyze the effect of the practicum method on cognitive values. The research uses Mix Methods Embedded design. The research instruments include: rubrics and implementation observation sheets, cognitive questions, scientific attitude rubrics, constraint questionnaires and field notes. The sample selection using purposive sampling consisted of 36 experimental class students and 36 control class students in MA Subang area. The implementation of student and teacher activities (research students) achieved good criteria including good and very good criteria. The cognitive improvement of the experimental class with moderate criteria obtained a result of 0.52 while the control class with low criteria obtained a result of 0.29. The results of statistical tests showed that there was a significant cognitive difference between the experimental and control classes with sig 0.000 <0.05. The scientific attitude of the experimental class shows the criteria of "strong" from the objective aspect, not hasty, diligent and open. Meanwhile, the control class got the criteria of "enough" from the objective aspect, not in a hurry, persevering, while the open aspect got the criteria of "weak". Overall, the students did not experience any problems while doing the practicum method learning. The results of the study prove that the practicum method has an effect on students' cognitive values and scientific attitudes.
