Abstract

INDONESIA : Air merupakan sumber daya yang sangat penting yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk kehidupan sehari-hari. Salah satu penyumbang terbesar dari pencemaran air adalah dari limbah industri tahu. Di Ds Mekarsari terdapat banyak sekali Industri Tahu Rumahan yang berproduksi dan kebanyakan industri tahunya tidak memiliki pengolahan air limbah sehingga menyebabkan pencemaran sungai. Maka dari itu perlu adanya pengolahan air limbah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kondisi kualitas air Sungai Cikeruh yang ditinjau dari parameter BOD, COD, TSS, dan pH, menganalisis pengaruh air limbah dari Industri Tahu Rumahan Ds. Mekarsari terhadap kualitas air Sungai Cikeruh yang ditinjau dari parameter BOD, COD, TSS, dan pH, dan mengetahui efektivitas adsorpsi dengan prinsip Teknologi Tepat Guna (TTG) dalam menurunkan kadar pencemar air limbah dari Industri Tahu Rumahan Ds. Mekarsari. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan adsorpsi berdasarkan prinsip TTG. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah grab sampel. Hasil dari kondisi air sungai cikeruh pada titik sebelum dan setelah tercemar air limbah dari industri tahu berdasarkan kadar BOD dan pH memenuhi baku mutu, sedangkan untuk kadar COD dan TSS tidak memenuhi baku mutu. Terdapat pengaruh dari industri tahu dibuktikan dengan titik setelah tercemar air limbah dari industri tahu kadar COD dan TSS menjadi 65 mg/L dan 74 mg/L, sedangkan untuk kadar pH tidak begitu berpengaruh karena, kadar pH pada titik setelah air limbah dari industri tahu sebesar 7,84, ini menunjukkan kadar pH masih aman sesuai dengan baku mutu yaitu sekitar 6-9 meskipun kadar pH dari air limbah yang dihasilkan sangat kecil yaitu sebesar 4,35. Efektivitas dari pengolahan air limbah dengan abu sekam padi, arang tempurung kelapa, batu apung, dan pasir bata merah untuk kadar COD, TSS, dan pH berturut-turut sebesar 46,72%, 58,15%, dan 6,89%. Maka dari itu dengan 4 adsorben ini mampu menurunkan kadar pencemar air limbah dari industri tahu. ENGLISH : Water is a very important resource that can be used for everyday life. One of the biggest contributors to water pollution is from tofu industrial waste. In Mekarsari Village, there are a lot of Home Tofu Industries that produce and most of the tofu industries do not have wastewater treatment, causing river pollution. Therefore, there is a need for wastewater treatment. This study aims to analyze the condition of the water quality of the Cikeruh River in terms of BOD, COD, TSS, and pH parameters, analyze the effect of wastewater from the Homemade Tofu Industry in Ds. Mekarsari on the water quality of the Cikeruh River in terms of BOD, COD, TSS, and pH parameters, and determine the effectiveness of adsorption with the principle of Appropriate Technology (TTG) in reducing the level of pollutants in wastewater from the Homemade Tofu Industry, Ds. Mekarsari. The method in this research is adsorption based on the TTG principle. The sampling technique used is the grab sample. The results of the condition of the Cikeruh river water at the point before and after being polluted by wastewater from the tofu industry based on BOD and pH levels met the quality standards, while COD and TSS levels did not meet the quality standards. There is an influence from the tofu industry as evidenced by the point after being polluted by wastewater from the tofu industry, the levels of COD and TSS are 65 mg/L and 74 mg/L, while the pH level is not very influential because, the pH level at the point after wastewater from the tofu industry is 7.84, this shows that the pH level is still safe in accordance with the quality standard, which is around 6-9 even though the pH level of the wastewater produced is very small, which is 4.35. The effectiveness of wastewater treatment with rice husk ash, coconut shell charcoal, pumice, and red brick sand for COD, TSS, and pH levels were 46.72%, 58.15%, and 6.89%, respectively. Therefore, with these 4 adsorbents, it is able to reduce the level of pollutants in wastewater from the tofu industry.
