Abstract

Macrofungi are fungi whose fruiting bodies can be seen directly without the aid of a microscope and which ecologically act as decomposers of organic matter (decomposers) and as biological control agents. Data related to the results of macrofungal research in the Tahura area is still limited and a more comprehensive study needs to be carried out. This study aims to make an inventory of the types of macrofungi in the dry and rainy seasons and to find out their potential uses. Environmental factors observed were substrate, temperature, air humidity, soil pH, and altitude. Observations were made from November 2021 to May 2022 using the exploration method (cruising). Purposive sampling was used to collect samples, and the data was analysed descriptively. The results showed that the macrofungi found in all lines consisted of 2 divisions, 8 orders, 23 families, and 57 species. There were 23 macrofungi found in the dry season, consisting of 18 families and 2 divisions. Macrofungi found in the rainy season amounted to 34 species, consisting of 19 families and 1 division. Environmental factors that affect the growth of macrofungi include temperature, humidity, soil pH, substrate, and altitude. The macrofungi found have potential as antimicrobials, foods, antioxidants, anti-cancer, drugs, non-food and anti-inflammatory.
