Abstract
This study describes the formation of words and the meaning of compound words in the Mobile Legends game. The formulation of the research problem is divided into two questions: What are the structures of compound words use Mobile Legend and What are the lexical meanings of compound word in the skill name of Mobile Legend. This research is supported by theories from McCarty (2002), Ingo (2002) to answer these questions. Then qualitative research and descriptive methods were used for this research. The data is taken from Mobile Legends games. The steps of data analysis include: 1) Identifying 2) Coding/Classifying 3) Describing and Interpreting 5) Making conclusions. In conclusion there are five main categories of compound noun formation found, (1) adjective + adjective, (2) noun + noun, (3) adjective + noun, (4) noun + adjective, and (5) noun + verb.Some of them are divided into subcategories derived by suffixes. The lexical meaning of Mobile Legends names, not only content with the main theme name but also a combination of several kinds of words such as background heroes names, Menu interface names, skill, background story.
