Abstract
Moral message is the message of a story that the author wants to convey to the audience. Remind film has adaptation elements from written literary works that have a moral message it means films olso can be studied with the theory of literary criticism. Therefore, based on this, the researcher wants to analyze the moral message in The Karate Kid (2010) movie through the characterization of each character that often appears. In this case the researcher used the descriptive analysis method state Ratna (2004:53) with qualitative data Maxwell (2013:2) In this method, the data collected can be taken from words and pictures to analyze the whole movie. Based on Poespoprojo (1998:118), morality includes an understanding the good and bad of human actions, which is based on the presence or absence of orders from outside. As the result the researcher find that there are; 1) Dre Parker, He did badly for lack of discipline, but also did good, and he didn't give up. It's like in Qs. Al-Insyirah [94]: 5-6. 2) Mr. Han, he taught to do not be greedy as in Qs. Al-Maidah [5]: 77. 3) Mrs. Parker behave though every mother must loved his child. 4) Mei Ying teaches us that we must obey the orders of our parents. As suggested in Qs. Al-Isra ' [17]: 23-24. 5) Cheng, from his bad attitude teaches that being rude will eventually lead to defeat. 6) Master Li teaches that cheating will gain nothing. Based on the reseach findings, this story has implied meanings such as: we must believe that there is wisdom behind difficulties (surrender to Allah), its covey that life not to be excessive, the virtue of obedience to parents, and abstain from misbehaving. Based, the moral value relates to Muslim guidliens, namely the Qur'an.
