Abstract

This research is motivated by the number of students with elementary school backgrounds compared to students with MI students backgrounds, which raises the question of whether students' educational background can affect the learning outcomes obtained. The purpose of this study was to find out: (1) Student Learning Outcomes from Elementary School (2) Student Learning Outcomes from MI (3) Differences in Student Learning Outcomes Between Elementary School and MI, Material Closer to Allah by Practicing Sunnah prayers in class VIII SMPN 3 Sumedang. This study uses a quantitative approach with a comparative descriptive method which aims to compare the differences and similarities of several facts and the nature of the research subject based on the research framework obtained through data collection techniques in the form of observation, tests, interviews and documentation. Data analysis used the SPSS method with T test analysis techniques and normalized gain tests to test the extent to which the differences in learning outcomes obtained by SD and MI students. Based on the results of the study, it showed: (1) the average learning outcomes of elementary school students was 80.35 (2) students with an MI background were 1 point superior to elementary school students, namely 81.96 (3) through the results of the analysis carried out by T-test or T-test and N-gain test were obtained in the form of the results of two paired samples were 0.304 > 0.05 and -0.05 0.3 and -0.11 0.03 which indicated that Ho was accepted or there was no significant difference.
