Abstract
Social conflict can be occured because of differences in opinion, ideology, and culture in the society. It happened in every layers of society level, Social conflict can occur in the upper, middle and lower class. This related to the definition of social conflict as told by Coser (1956:23). This study aims to describe social class conflict in two different movies, Korean and American movies. Thus the question of research are: 1) How are the social conflict in Parasite and Joker movies? 2) How are the consequences of the conflict in Parasite and Joker Movies? In the Parasite movie, social class conflict occurred inter the lower class. The Kim Ki-taek family versus Mun-Kwang family they imagined always having a comfortable life like Mr. Park family. In the Joker movie, the social class conflict occurred between the upper and lower class. It began when Arthur has a condition where he can't control his laugh. Suddenly he was attacked by those people and the conflict ran between Arthur and the three people. Conflict has positive and negative effects. It shows in Parasite and Joker movie, after the conflict they have stronger solidarity in their group as the positive consequence. While the negative in the two movies has the same conflict consequences, it is murder.
