Abstract

INDONESIA : Sampah merupakan salah satu permasalahan yang kompleks yang dihadapi oleh berbagai negara, termasuk Indonesia. Adapaun jenis sampah yang dihasilkan didominasi oleh sampah organik yang mana jika dibiarkan akan berimbas pada kesehatan, keindahan lingkungan, pencemaran udara, bencana alam dan lain sebagainya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik dan kandungan unsur hara, pengaruh dan konsentrasi paling optimal pupuk organik cair sayur dan buah terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman bayam merah (Amaranthus tricolor L.). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) dengan lima perlakuan konsentrasi pupuk organik cair yaitu kontrol, 10 mL/L, 20 mL/L, 30 mL/L, dan 40 mL/L dengan lima ulangan. Parameter yang diukur yaitu tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, diameter batang, panjang akar, berat basah dan kering tanaman bayam merah. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pupuk organik cair sayur dan buah berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman dan panjang akar tanaman bayam merah. Namun tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah daun, diameter batang, berat basah, berat kering tanaman bayam merah. Pemberian pupuk organik cair sayur dan buah dengan konsentrasi 20 mL/L memberikan pengaruh terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan bayam merah dengan jumlah daun 6,4 helai, diameter batang 0,28 cm, panjang akar 10,32 cm, berat basah 3,88 g, berat kering 0,49 g dan konsentrasi 10 mL/L memberikan pengaruh terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan tinggi tanaman bayam merah dengan tinggi 12,54 cm. ENGLISH : Waste is one of the complex problems faced by various countries, including Indonesia. The type of waste produced is dominated by organic waste which if left unchecked will have an impact on health, environmental beauty, air pollution, natural disasters and so on. This study aims to determine the characteristics and nutrient content, the effect and the most optimal concentration of liquid organic fertilizer for vegetables and fruits on the growth of red spinach (Amaranthus tricolor L.).This study is an experimental study using a randomized block design (RAK) with five concentrations of liquid organic fertilizer, namely control, 10 mL/L, 20 mL/L, 30 mL/L, and 40 mL/L with five replications. Parameters measured were plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, root length, wet and dry weight of red spinach plants. The results showed that the application of liquid organic fertilizer for vegetables and fruit had a significant effect on plant height and root length of red spinach. However, it did not significantly affect the number of leaves, stem diameter, wet weight, dry weight of red spinach plants. The application of liquid organic fertilizer for vegetables and fruits with a concentration of 20 mL/L gave the best effect on the growth of red spinach with 6.4 leaves, stem diameter of 0,28 cm, root length of 10,32 cm, wet weight of 3,88 g, dry weight of 0,49 g and a concentration of 10 mL/L gave the best effect on the growth of red spinach plant height with a height of 12.54 cm.
