Abstract

Background – Moral decadence, especially among students, is an accumulation of various kinds of problems, ranging from the absence of the role of parents in children's education in the family, the distance of students' lives from religious values and teachings, and schools that have not been maximized in implementing religious culture in their families. school environment. So it is very important to optimize these points as an effort to improve student morale through discipline in religion. Objectives – The research aims to find out: (1) How much influence does Islamic Religious Education in Schools have on religious discipline for students at SMAN 1 Karangtengah Cianjur? (2) How much influence does Religious Education in the Family have on religious discipline for students at SMAN 1 Karangtengah Cianjur? (3) How much influence does school religious culture have on religious discipline for students at SMAN 1 Karangtengah Cianjur? Research Methods - This study uses a quantitative approach by using field studies through distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents. Data processing using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis method using Partial Least Square (PLS). Findings - The results of the study show that: (1) The variable of Religious Education in Schools has a significant and positive influence on the Religious Discipline of Students of SMAN 1 Karangtengah Cianjur with a p-value of 0.017. (2) The variable of Religious Education in the Family has a significant and positive influence on the Religious Discipline of Students of SMAN 1 Karangtengah Cianjur with a p-value of 0.000. (3) The variable of School Religious Culture has a significant and positive influence on the Religious Discipline of Students of SMAN 1 Karangtengah Cianjur with a p-value of 0.000. Recommendations – Teachers and the entire academic civitas of SMAN 1 Karangtengah Cianjur should always instill a religious attitude in students both in the teaching and learning process or outside class hours. It is hoped that these efforts can improve the religious discipline of students and students.
