Abstract

Prokrastinasi akademik adalah suatu perilaku menunda pengerjaan tugas ataupun kegiatan belajar untuk ujian, dan digantikan dengan kegiatan lain yang tidak perlu. Prokrastinasi akademik merupakan hal yang sering dilakukan oleh mahasiswa khususnya mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Beberapa faktor yang menyebabkan individu melakukan prokrastinasi yaitu perasaan malas, kurangnya motivasi, lebih memilih melakukan hal yang lebih menyenangkan, bingung dengan tugas yang menumpuk, lingkungan yang kurang kondusif dan lain sebagainya. Oleh karena itu, hal yang dapat mengurangi prokastinasi akademik yaitu dukungan sosial teman sebaya dan academic self management. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatahui pengaruh dukungan sosial teman sebaya dan academic self management terhadap prokrastinasi akademik pada mahasiswa akhir Psikologi UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung yang mengalami quarter life crisis yang berjumlah 150 orang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis regresi berganda. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari skala dukungan sosial teman sebaya dimodifikasi dari Widowati (2018) berdasarkan teori Sarafino (1988), skala academic self management dimodifikasi Mahmudah (2019) berdasarkan teori Gie (2000), dan skala prokrastinasi akademik Mubasyir (2016) berdasarkan teori Schouwenburg (1995). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh dukungan sosial teman sebaya dan academic self management terhadap prokrastinasi akademik pada mahasiswa akhir fakultas Psikologi UIN Sunan Gunung Djati. Dukungan sosial teman sebaya dan academic self management berpengaruh sebesar 0.297 terhadap prokrastinasi akademik mahasiswa akhir fakultas Psikologi UIN Sunan Gunung Djati. Academic procrastination is a behavior of delaying work on assignments or study activities for exams, and is replaced by other unnecessary activities. Academic procrastination is something that is often done by students, especially final year students.Some of the factors that cause individuals to procrastinate are feeling lazy, lack of motivation, preferring to do more fun things, confusion with piling up tasks, a less conducive environment and so on. Therefore, things that can reduce academic procrastination are peer social support and academic self-management. This study aims to determine the effect of peer social support and academic self-management on academic procrastination in the final students of Psychology at UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung who experienced a quarter life crisis, amounting to 150 people. The method used in this research is quantitative with multiple regression analysis techniques. The research instrument consisted of a modified peer social support scale from Widowati (2018) based on Sarafino's (1988) theory, Mahmudah (2019) modified academic self-management scale based on Gie (2000) theory, and Mubasyir's (2016) academic procrastination scale based on Schouwenburg's theory (1995).The results of this study indicate that there is an effect of peer social support and academic self-management on academic procrastination in the final students of the Faculty of Psychology, UIN Sunan Gunung Djati. Peer social support and academic self-management have an effect of 0.297 on the academic preparation of the final students of the Faculty of Psychology, UIN Sunan Gunung Djati.
