Abstract

INDONESIA : Permasalahan penelitian ini adalah kurangnya kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa kelas 1 MI Nurul Yakin, Cinunuk. Penenlitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan metode suku kata terhadap kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa pada mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi dan tes unjuk kerja untuk mengukur kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa. Teknik ananlisis data yang digunakan peneliti yaitu teknik pengumpulan data tes, ananlisis data yang dilakukan adalah analisis data hasil evaluasi prasiklus dan data hasil tes evaluasi pada setiap siklus dengan menggunakan rumus ketuntasan belajar individual, ketuntasan belajar klasikal dan rata-rata. berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa (1) Kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa sebelum menggunakan metode suku kata masih berada di bawah KKM, dengan rata-rata hasil kemampuan membaca permulaan sebesar 54,28 dengan persentase ketuntasan belajar sebesar 28,75% dengan kategori”Kurang Sekali”. (2) Keterlaksanaan proses pembelajaran dengan menerapkan metode suku kata sudah memasuki kriteria “Sangat Baik” ditunjukkan dengan peningkatan persentase aktivitas guru dan siswa yang mengalami peningkatan pada setiap siklusnya. Pada siklus 1 tindakan pertama dan kedua aktivitas guru memperoleh persentase sebesar 94% dan 96% sedangkan pada siklus II tindakan pertama dan kedua memperoleh persentase sebesar 98% dan 100%. Sedangkan untuk aktivitas belajar siswa pada siklus I tindakan pertama dan kedua memperoleh persentase sebesar 88% dan 91% sedangkan pada siklus II tindakan pertama dan kedua memperoleh persentase sebesar 95% dan 97%. (3) hasil kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa setelah diterapkannya metode suku kata mengalami peningkatan di setiap siklusnya. Siklus I rata-rata hasil kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa sebesar 68,57 dengan persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa 71% dengan kriteria “Sedang”. Pada siklus II rata-rata hasil kemampuan membaca pemulaan siswa sebesar 75,23 dengan persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa 90% dengan kriteria “Sangat Baik”. ABSTRAK ENGLISH : The problem of this research based on the lack of ability to read the beginning of class 1 students MI Nurul Yakin, Cinunuk. This research aims to determine the effect of syllable methods on students' initial reading skills in Indonesian subjects. This research is a Classroom Action Research. The population of this research was all students in grade 1 at MI Nurul Yakin Cinunuk. The instruments used were observation sheets and performance tests to measure students' initial reading skills. The data analysis technique used by researchers is the test data collection technique, the data analysis conducted is the analysis of pre-cycle evaluation data and evaluation test data results in each cycle using the individual learning completeness formula, classical learning completeness and average. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that (1) The ability to read the beginning of students before using the syllable method is still below the KKM, with an average result of the ability to read the beginning of 54.28 with a percentage of mastery learning by 28.75% with the category "Less Once". (2) The implementation of the learning process by applying the syllable method has entered the criteria of "Very Good" indicated by an increase in the percentage of teacher and student activities that have increased in each cycle. In cycle 1, the first and second actions of the teacher gained a percentage of 94% and 96%, while in the second cycle the first and second actions obtained a percentage of 98% and 100%. As for the learning activities of students in the first and second cycles the action gets a percentage of 88% and 91% while in the second cycle the first and second actions get a percentage of 95% and 97%. (3) the results of students' initial reading ability after applying the syllable method has increased in each cycle. Cycle I, the average result of students' reading ability at the beginning was 68.57 with the percentage of students completeness learning 71% with the criteria of "Medium". In the second cycle, the average results of students' starting reading ability was 75.23 with 90% students completeness learning with the criteria "Very Good".
