Abstract
This study aims to illustrate the phenomenon that occurs in three students of hafiz al-Qur'an, there are some similarities behind the three hafiz, the first is a fairly increasing change in the three respondents. They choose to enter the tahfiz class based on personal desire and tries to manage time with activities in schools and boarding schools, this decision requires that the three respondents have good self-control. This study uses qualitative research to understand the phenomenon of what is experienced by the subject, using interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA) data analysis techniques. The results of this study contained an overview of self-regulation in the three respondents with the obtaining of 6 superordinate themes that can determine strategies, objectives including in the aspect of Self Observation, how to memorize, the role of mentors and teachers including in the aspects of Judgemental Process, motivation, and family including in the aspect of self-response.
