Abstract

ENGLISH : The use of teaching materials and communication between teachers and students is important in the learning process. This research was motivated by the limited use of IT-based teaching materials and the limited interaction between teachers and students outside school hours, so an edmodo-based self-learning module was developed. This study aims to develop an Edmodo-based self-learning module on the material of the human respiratory system, in order to produce a valid module. The research method used is Research and Development through the stages of define, design, and develop (3-D). The research instruments used were the module validation sheet and student response questionnaires. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 56 Bandung with a sample of 15 class VIII students. The results showed that the edmodo-based self-learning module that had been developed was categorized as valid with a percentage of 80.03% based on the validation of material experts, media experts and science teachers. The limited trial conducted to determine the response of students to the module has a percentage value of 93.88% with a very good category. Thus it can be concluded that the edmodo-based self-learning module on the human respiratory system material is feasible to use. INDONESIA : Penggunaan bahan ajar serta komunikasi antara guru dan peserta didik merupakan hal penting dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya keterbatasan penggunaan bahan ajar berbasis IT serta keterbatasan interaksi antara guru dan peserta didik diluar jam pelajaran sekolah, maka dikembangkan modul pembelajaran mandiri berbasis edmodo. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul pembelajaran mandiri berbasis edmodo pada materi sistem pernapasan manusia, sehingga dihasilkan modul yang valid. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development melalui tahap define, design, dan develop (3-D). Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu lembar validasi bahan ajar modul, dan angket respon peserta didik. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 56 Bandung dengan sampel berjumlah 15 orang peserta didik kelas VIII. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa modul pembelajaran mandiri berbasis edmodo yang telah dikembangkan dikategorikan valid dengan presentase 80,03% berdasarkan validasi dari ahli materi, ahli media dan guru IPA. Uji coba terbatas yang dilakukan untuk mengetahui respon peserta didik terhadap modul memiliki nilai presentase 93,88% dengan kategori sangat baik. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul pembelajaran mandiri berbasis edmodo pada materi sistem pernapasan manusia layak untuk digunakan.
