Abstract
Commuter Marriage poses more obstacles and challenges instead of Usual Marriages. One of the obstacles is in achieving intimacy and subjective well-being. This research was conducted to determine the relationship between intimacy and subjective well-being to couples who did commuter marriage. The research methodology is a quantitative method with 100 research subjects who are undergoing a commuter marriage. The research data were collected through a questionnaire using the measurement tool of Personal Assessment of Intimacy in Relationship (PAIR) which was adapted and modified based on Schaefer & Olson's theory. For the variable of intimacy and for measurement tool of variable subjective well-being were used two measurement tools, namely the cognitive subjective well- being using the Satisfaction with Life Scale, and on the affective aspect of subjective well-being using The Expanded Form of Positive and Negative Affects Schedule (PANAS-X). The result shows that there was a relationship between intimacy and subjective well-being on the commuter marriage.
