Abstract

ENGLISH : The use of learning media plays a role in motivating students in learning activities. The reality in the field shows that there are deficiencies in the use of learning media, especially visual media, seen from the list aspect. Besides, the development of learning media is no longer carried out so that students become less interested and motivated to learn.This study aims to describe the stages of development, feasibility analysis, and the effectiveness of learning media based on the quartet card game on student learning motivation in the sub-material of the vertebrate.The research method used is a 4-D development model which is limited to 3-D with the stages of define, design, and development. This quartet card game-based learning media was validated by five people consisting of a media expert, a material expert, and three biology subject teachers. The research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Rancaekek with a sample size of 16 students of class X MIA 6. The results showed that there was an improvement in quartet card game-based learning media based on the input from experts. The average result of expert validation was 85.03 with very valid categories, and the average result of students readability tests was 3.59 with very good categories. The effectiveness test was seen from the increase in the average pretest score of 5.4 and the post-test score of 8.4. The percentage of student learning completeness is 81.25% with an effective category. The percentage of student learning motivation success is 100% with a very good category. The conclusion that can be drawn from this research is that quartet card game-based learning media towards student learning motivation has experienced one-time refinement with the revision results are very valid and very good so it is feasible and effective to use to motivate students in learning vertebrate sub material. INDONESIA : Penggunaan media pembelajaran berperan untuk memotivasi siswa dalam kegiatan belajar. Kenyataan di lapangan menunjukkan adanya kekurangan dari media pembelajaran yang digunakan, khususnya media visual yang dilihat dari aspek tampilannya. Selain itu, pengembangan media pembelajaran tidak lagi dilakukan sehingga siswa menjad kurang tertarik dan termotivasi untuk belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tahapan pengembangan, menganalisis kelayakan, dan efektivitas media pembelajaran berbasis quartet card game dalam upaya memotivasi belajar siswa pada sub materi vertebrata. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah model pengembangan 4-D yang dibatasi hingga 3-D dengan tahapan define, design, dan develop. Media pembelajaran berbasis quartet card game di validasi oleh lima orang yang terdiri dari ahli media, ahli materi, dan tiga guru mata pelajaran biologi. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 1 Rancaekek dengan sampel berjumlah 16 orang siswa kelas X MIA 6. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbaikan yang dilakukan terhadap media pembelajaran berbasis quartet card game berdasarkan masukan dari para ahli. Hasil rata-rata validasi ahli sebesar 85,03 dengan kategori sangat valid, dan hasil rata-rata uji keterbacaan siswa sebesar 3.59 dengan kategori sangat baik. Uji efektivitas dilihat dari kenaikan rata-rata nilai pretest sebesar 5,4 dan posttest sebesar 8,4. Presentase ketuntasan belajar diperoleh hasil sebesar 81,25% dengan kategori efektif. Presentase rata-rata motivasi belajar siswa sebesar 95% dengan kategori sangat baik. Kesimpulan yang dapat ditarik dari penelitian ini yaitu media pembelajaran berbasis quartet card game yang dikembangkan bersifat sangat layak dan efektif digunakan untuk memotivasi siswa dalam pembelajaran sub materi vertebrata.
