Abstract
Instagram is one of the social media that supports the development of memes. The meme is a new creation that can represent a person's ideas and feelings. there are various forms of memes, one of which is sarcasm. The purpose of the study was to analyze the meaning of denotation and connotation through signs in verbal and non-verbal in memes contained in @sarcasm_only's account and to find out the myths in the structure of sarcasm in the meme. Consequently, researchers use Roland Barthes's and John Heiman's theory. This research method is a descriptive qualitative method. The researcher collected sarcastic memes related to women to be analyzed and interpreted them in the description. There are fifteen memes analyzed. Researchers are interested in analyzing it because there are many implied meanings conveyed to the readers. Based on the results of the study, the researchers found the element of phenomena that formed the memes both roughly, praise, indirectly or directly. Although memes provide information about women's character and habits or just as entertainment and satisfaction when making it, whatever the reason, all cannot be separated from the negative side that must be avoided, one of them is to corner other people through memes.
