Abstract

The use of hydroponic technology by the community requires the support of research researchers to improve efficiency and increase productivity in yields. The hydroponic research road map was developed by researchers independently so that a grand design for hydroponic development in Indonesia is needed. This study aims to identify the direction of research development and research achievements that have been carried out by previous research. This research was conducted in April 2020 using descriptive research methods. This research material is a database of manuscript articles that have been published and indexed in garuda.ristekbrin.go.id with the keywords hydroponics. The equipment used is a laptop unit and Microsoft Excel application for data processing. The results showed that the highest percentage in the field of hydro nutrition studies was 38.06%, and the sensor/microcontroller study field was 20.07%. The highest percentage of plants studied were lettuce 15.57%, Pak Choy 13.49%, and 17.30% hydroponic research without plants. The field of hydroponic research studies that have been conducted by researchers is following the actual issues of hydroponic nutrition efficiency and hydroponic system automation (precision farming/precision agriculture). It needs to be improved interdisciplinary research between agriculture and other fields, especially electro and informatics. Researchers need to focus research on plants other than lettuce and pakchoi plant. There are at least 6 systems of hydroponics developed in practice.
