Abstract

INDONESIA Daun bambu memiliki kadar silika mencapai 57,1% yang cukup berpotensi untuk digunakan sebagai sumber silika untuk sintesis zeolit. Pada penelitian ini silika dari daun bambu didapatkan dengan cara isolasi. Silika hasil isolasi dari daun bambu digunakan sebagai bahan untuk sintesis zeolit ZSM-11. Sintesis zeolit ZSM-11 dari silika daun bambu dilakukan dengan rasio mol 1 SiO2 : 0,56 TBAOH : 40 H2O menggunakan metode hidrotermal pada suhu 170 °C selama 2 hari menggunakan metode hidrotermal. Zeolit hasil sintesis dikarakterisasi menggunakan XRD, FTIR, dan SEM. Hasil analisis XRD menunjukkan terbentuk zeolit ZSM-11 dengan fasa kristalin. Hasil FTIR menunjukkan puncak serapan khas zeolit ZSM-11. Hasil analisis SEM zeolit ZSM-11 didapatkan bentuk coffin-shaped dengan kisi kristal berbentuk heksagonal. ENGLISH OF SILICA Bamboo leaves have a silica content reaches 57,1% which is potent enough to be used as a source of silica for the synthesis of zeolites. In this study, silica from bamboo leaves obtained by isolation. Silica isolated from bamboo leaves are us as a material for the synthesis of zeolite ZSM-11. Synthesis of zeolite ZSM-11 from silica bamboo leaves do with mole ratio of 1 SiO2 : 0.56 TBAOH : 40 H2O using the hydrothermal method at a temperature of 170 °C for 2 days using the hydrothermal method. Zeolite synthesis were characterized using XRD, FTIR, and SEM. XRD analysis results showed formed zeolite ZSM-11 with a crystalline phase. FTIR results showed typical absorption peaks of zeolite ZSM-11. SEM analysis results obtained zeolite ZSM-11 coffin-shaped form with a hexagonal crystal lattice.
