Abstract

INDONESIA : Radar mempunyai kegunaan yang sangat luas dalam berbagai bidang. Seperti telekomunikasi, kepentingan militer ataupun kepentingan sipil untuk navigasi. Salah satu bagian penting untuk meningkatkan kerja sistem radar adalah filter. Fungsi filter yaitu meloloskan frekuensi yang diinginkan dan meredam frekuensi yang tidak diinginkan. Tugas Akhir ini membahas suatu desain baru dan sederhana dari filter pada frekuensi 2,9 GHz-3,1 GHz. Filter didesain pada frekuensi tengah 3 GHz dengan bandwidth sebesar 200 MHz, insertion loss <-3 dB, return loss >- 20 dB dan direalisasikan kedalam struktur mikrostrip hairpin. Bandpass filter dirancang dengan hairpin orde lima yang ditambah metode Defected Ground Structure (DGS) dalam bentuk square groove pada desainnya. Filter ini menggunakan jenis substrat Rogers 4350B dengan nilai konstanta dielektrik relatif sebessar (ε_r)= 3,48 dan ketebalan substrat (h) =1,524 mm. Simulasi dilakukan dengan software Advanced Desain System (ADS) 2011. Bandpass filter ini menunjukan hasil pengukuran insertion loss sebesar -1,643 dB di frekuensi 2,921 GHz, sedangkan return loss sebesar -19,529 dB yang bekerja pada frekuensi 2,820 GHz - 3,021 GHz. ENGLISH : The radar has very broad on different areas. Such telecommunication, military significance or the benefit of civilians for a navigation. One of the important part in improving performance radar systems is the filter. The filter function is to pass the desire frequency and will be hold unwanted frequency. This thesis discusses a new design and simplified from a filter that works on frequency of 2,9 GHz-3,1 GHz. The filter is designed at the center frequency of 3 GHz with a bandwidth 200 MHz, insertion loss <-3 dB, return loss >- 20 dB and fabricated on the microstrip hairpin structure. Bandpass filter is designed with a hairpin of the order five with Defected Ground Structure (DGS) method on form the square groove in design. These filters are used Rogers substrate 4350B with a relative dielectric constant (ε_r)= 3,48 and height of the substrate (h) =1,524 mm. Simulations performed with the software Advanced Desain System (ADS) 2011. Bandpass filter exhibits the measured insertion loss of -1,643 dB at the centered frequency of 2,921 GHz, whereas return loss of -19,529 dB that works on frequency of 2,820 GH z- 3,021 GHz.
