Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh future orientation terhadap mental health pada mahasiswa. Kesehatan mental pada mahasiswa saat ini sangat mengkhawatirkan, banyaknya tuntutan-tuntutan yang harus dipenuhi oleh mahasiswa membuat hal tersebut rentan terhadap stres dan kecemasan. Salah satunya adalah mahasiswa dituntut untuk memiliki orientasi masa depan yang jelas, memiliki tujuan dan perencanaan masa depan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 243 orang. Penelitian ini, menggunakan skala pengukuran future orientation scale (Steinberg, 2009) dan the mental health inventory (Veit & Ware, 1983) yang mengukur dengan dua dimensi yaitu psychologycal disstress dan psychologycal wellbeing. Data analisis yang digunakan adalah regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh future orientation terhadap mental health (psychologycal disstress dan psychologycal wellbeing) pada mahasiswa.
