Abstract

INDONESIA: Remaja pada umumnya memilki self control yang rendah, terutama pada aspek behavioral self control. Ada banyak faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap self control, antara lain mindfulness. Mindfulness akan memunculkan becoming aware yang baik yang merupakan bagian penting dari behavioral self control. Oleh karena itu, penelitian mengenai pengaruh mindfulness terhadap behavioral self control menarik untuk dilakukan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pengaruh mindfulness terhadap behavioral self control pada siswa MTsN 1 Purwakarta. Jumlah subjek dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 243 orang siswa. Teknik analisis data menggunakan regresi sederhana. Penelitian ini menunjukkan pengaruh positif mindfulness terhadap behavioral self control pada siswa MTsN 1 Purwakarta dengan t hitung 5,888, β = 0,584, sig.p = 0.000 (p < 0,05), namun pengaruhnya rendah (R2 = 0,126) yaitu sebesar 12,6% sedangkan 87,4% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini. ENGLISH: Adolescent have generally low self control, especially on the behavioral self control aspect. Many factors influence self control, one of them is mindfulness. Mindfulness will rise a good becoming aware, an important part of behavioral self control. For that reason, the influence of the mindfulness towards behavioral self control is an interesting research to conduct. The aim of this research is to study the influence of the mindfulness towards behavioral self control of the students of MTsN 1 Purwakarta. The number of the subjects in this research is 243 students. Simple regression technique was used for the data analysis. The research show positive influence of mindfulness towards behavioral self control of the students of MTsN 1 Purwakarta with tvalue 5.888, β = 0.584, sig.p = 0.000 (p < 0.05). However, the influence is relatively low (R2 = 0.126), that is equal to 12.6%. The remaining 87.4% is influenced by other variables not examined in this research.
