Abstract

This study aims to develop an LKS or improve existing LKS. LKS experienced several trials of initial LKS testing, small scale LKS trials and LKS final trials. In the initial LKS test, LKS was validated by the experts, 2 lecturers of Biology UIN Bandung and 1 science teacher of Triyasa Ujungberung, then tested small scale to ten students in the class that have received environmental pollution material. And at the final LKS trial stage, the developed LKS is beginning to be applied in classroom learning. This method uses one class of 31 students. The instruments used are multiple choice test, validation questionnaire, and response questionnaire. After going through the process of data analysis, the results of the study show: LKS preparation based on learning cycle 5 E model using Analysis, Development, Design, Implementation and Evaluation (ADDIE) model in the development stage in validation, by experts with an average score of 0.88 with valid categories and validation by ten students with an average score of 0.98 with valid categories, thus this LKS can be implemented in school learning; LKS based on the 5 E learning cycle model developed to improve student learning outcomes on environmental pollution materials. This is based on the result of N-gain of 0.67 with the medium category, and student's response to the use of LKS based on learning cycle 5 E model developed in learning on environmental pollution material showed positive response. This is based on a questionnaire response analysis of students who scored an average student grade of 3.64 with a high classification. The conclusion of LKS development based on learning cycle model 5 E can improve student learning outcomes on environmental pollution material.
