Abstract

Abstrak. Proses pembelajaran IPA di SMPN 1 Sukalarang belum sepenuhnya melibatkan peran aktif siswa sehingga berdampak pada hasil belajar yang masih kurang. Dibutuhkan suatu model pembelajaran yang dapat mendorong siswa terlibat aktif dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Model pembelajaran POE sebagai alternatif yang dapat diterapkan karena menuntut siswa aktif dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterlaksanaan proses pembelajaran menggunakan model POE berbasis praktikum, menganalisis hasil belajar dengan dan tanpa menggunakan model POE berbasis praktikum, menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran POE berbasis praktikum terhadap hasil belajar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu quasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian pretest-posttest control group design. Sampel yang diambil yaitu kelas VIII A dan VIII B. Teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu wawancara, observasi, dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterlaksanaan pembelajaran menggunakan model POE berbasis praktikum, untuk kegiatan guru memperoleh rata-rata persentase sebesar 95,33% sedangkan kegiatan siswa sebesar 82,98% keduanya dalam kriteria sangat baik. Hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan model POE berbasis praktikum meningkat dengan perolehan nilai rata-rata N-Gain sebesar 0,60 sedangkan kelas tanpa menggunakan model POE berbasis praktikum sebesar 0,48 keduanya dalam kategori sedang. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan thitung (3,66) > ttabel (1,99) sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran POE berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Abstract. The process of learning science in SMP 1 Sukalarang not fully involve the active role so that students have an impact on the learning outcomes that is still lacking. It is needed a models of learning that can encourage students actively involved inprocess of learning. The learning models of POE based practical as an alternative that can be applied because of the demands of the students actively in the learning. This study aims to describe implementation the learning process using POE models-based practical, analyzing learning outcomes with and without the use of POE models based practical, analyse the influence POE model-based practical on student learning outcomes. Research methods used namely quasi experimental with pretest-posttest design research control group design. The sample in this research is class VIII A and VIII B. The sampling technique that is purposive sampling. Engineering data collection is interview, observation, and test. The results showed that implementation of process learning using POE models-based practical, for activities teachers earn an average percentage of 95.33% whereas students of 82.98% both in the criteria very well. The learning outcomes of students who use the model of teaching POE-based practical increased with the acquisition of the average value of N-Gain amounting to 0.60 while class without using model POE based practical of 0.48 both in the category of middle. The results of hypothesis testing shows thitung (3.66) > ttabel (1.99) so it can be inferred that the POE models have a positive effect on student learning outcomes.
