Abstract

ENGLISH : Students as people whouse the internrt to meet and for interacting with their environment. One of them is buyusing social media as an effort to present himself. But in reality not all students can present themselves well, so there is a sense of worry to interact in this environment, as well as in cyberspase. This study aims to them selver determine wheter there is a relationship between social anxienty and self-presentation of instagram social media users to students of FISIP UIN Bandung. The that author of this research used is random sampling, the them chosen for this to the predetermined criteria is 101 female students who become the sample of the population of FISIP UIN Bandung students. The menthod used is quantitative studies, with corelational research designs. The result of this study indicating relationship between social anxienty and self-presentation on Instagram social media users on students of FISIP UIN Bandung with a correlation of 0.238 in the low category. INDONESIA : Mahasiswa sebagai masyarakat yang menggunakan internet untuk pemenuhan kebutuhan berinteaksi dengan lingkungannya. Salah satunya dengan menggunakan media sosial sebagai upaya dalam mempresentasikan dirinya.. Namun pada kenyataannya tidak semua mahasiswa dapat mempresentasikan dirinya, sehingga muncul rasa khawatir untuk berinteraksi dilingkungan, maupun di dunia maya. Pada penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan antara kecemasan sosial dengan presentasi diri pengguna media sosial Instagram pada mahasiswa FISIP UIN Bandung. Teknik yang dugunakan adalah random Sampling, Subjek dipilih sesuai dengan kriteria yang telah ditentukan adalah 101 mahasiswi yang menjadi sampel dari populasi mahasiswa FISIP UIN Bandung. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kuantitatif, dengan desain penelitian korelasional. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan terdapat hubungan antara kecemasan sosial dengan presentasi diri pengguna media sosial instagram pada mahasisiwa FISIP UIN Bandung dengan koefisien korelasi 0,238 rendah.
