Abstract

This study tried to describe an integrated school education model developed at this time. Through this research can be designed and developed based education model pesantren (boarding school) as a renewal of modern pesantren education system. This study used a qualitative approach naturalistic using descriptive method. Naturalistic descriptive methods used in this study because of the considered problem concerning the ongoing problem naturally at this time, can be observed and analyzed in order to obtain the meaning contained therein. Descriptive method is used because it can describe the real situation happening at the moment, it can also provide a general description clearer, systematic, factual, and accurate information related to the phenomenon under study. The findings and analysis of the results of these studies includes four aspects: (1) The purpose of educational institutions; (2) the educational process; (3) the advantages and disadvantages of the education system; and (4) the graduates. The aim of the boarding school system in Islamic education are: student profile Generate intelligent, pious, has the soul of a leader. Birth of a model that combines education with boarding schools (known as a boarding school). School / madrasah boarding school is the educational model to develop a school system that is combined with a good boarding schools in primary and secondary education levels. Academically Islamic Boarding School graduates are very satisfactory.
