Abstract

Car security system that is controlled through a mobile device-based SMS (Short Message Service) and GPS (Global Positioning System). Display SMS application Maps application is connected automatically with the Google Maps page to indicate the position of the vehicle via SMS. Display SMS application Maps designed using Basic4Android programming, thus providing a sense of security for users vehicles be left far from the parking area and maximizing smartphone as a monitoring system. The research method of testing the security system using the SMS application Maps and testing the security system using the Google Maps application. Voltage source using the adapter 7, 5V. Testing GPS module first and second median – median value produces a difference in longitude and latitude Maps SMS application with Google Maps of 6 m while in the process of testing the mean value generating third – median difference of 18 m. median Value – the mean difference overall from 3 different places by 10 m. results of an experiment that has been done shows that the security system already successfully working according to specifications set out by the median value of the mean difference – not more than 1%.
